Volunteer at Green Haven

There are a number of ways that you can volunteer your time and special skills to assist us at Green Haven.

Crisis Line  (**Must be 18 years of age)
Volunteers take one night a month (3-10 hours per night, based upon your availability) to help cover the 24-hour crisis line.  They offer support and listen to clients in need.  (An on-call staff member is appointed as a back up)

Fundraising
Volunteers can help plan and staff events that Green Haven sponsors.
     Such events include:
          Plant Sale
          Festival of Trees

Community Outreach
     Clothesline Project
     Domestic Violence Impact Panel
     Public Speaking

Safe Homes
Volunteer your home for a client in need for up to 3 nights.  This is a short term plan for clients in need to use in an emergency until a permanent plan is set for them.

Administrative Assistance
We appreciate help organizing, cleaning, making copies, helping with donations, and other various office tasks.

Subcommittee Membership
We will be looking for volunteers with specific skills to assist with specific program and projects.  Board sub-committees meet 1-2 hours per month and provide advice and support.
