| JOURNEYS - Support
Group |
| |
| Journeys is a weekly
support group for women who have had their lives touched by
intimate partner violence. Whether the abuse is currently
occurring or has been in the past this group is for you (and your
children). Support group gives women the opportunity to meet
others who have been in their shoes and learn about resources
available through Green Haven. By sharing your stories or just by
listening to others who have had similar experiences, you will
come to realize that you are not alone and increases their
self-esteem and personal resolve to keep you and your children’s
future free of violence and abuse. |

| First Step Program
- Support Group |
| |
| The First Step Support
Group is a component of a transitional and emergency housing
program at Green Haven. Members commit to 10 weeks of group
during which time they learn new skills to become fully
independent from their abuser. Group members gain improved
job-hunting skills/resume writing, explore continuing education
opportunities, budgeting/financial management, parenting and other
life skills to move forward with a new life in a home free of
violence. |
